An Invitation from Caroline Myss
Sometimes we even surprise ourselves. That’s how I felt when Tami Simon asked me to record a new series sharing my personal spiritual journey woven into the teachings I share. I have never really spoken about my personal spiritual journey, because I believed it was significant only to me. And yet, as I listened deeply to the questions people were asking me in my audiences these past years, I realized that there is a serious and profound interest in how the spiritual world interacts with our everyday lives.
While I am no expert on the vast and incredible domain of the spiritual, my life since childhood has been guided by guardians and angels in what I call micro-mystical experiences, like whispered guidance that I would hear as a child and young adult.
These experiences pack a punch because, aside from the guidance holy messengers deliver, I was always left in a state of awe that no matter what I was doing or where I was, an angel was watching over me.
In my heart, I know that most people would find great comfort in understanding the quiet and constant way the Divine is present in our lives, and so I decided (with Tami’s support) to share the quiet and constant spiritual part of my life.
Everything I have taught through the years has been the result of the trust I have had to develop in my guidance and intuitive skills. The divine world provided the rest in arranging for my meeting Dr. Norm Shealy and the many others who have become an essential part of my life. As I explain in this series, every detail of your life is organized when you trust and have faith, even though sometimes those details include hardships, loss, and chaos. Still, the Divine plays the long game with our lives, and that is why, as I discuss at length, the graces of trust and faith are so essential.
If there is one main reason I am sharing my spiritual life at this time, it is because I know faith, trust, and love are the graces we thrive on. I know that no matter what people think they are searching for in life, at the end of the day, every person wants to hear God call them by name. Said differently, everyone is seeking at least one experience of unexplainable awe that proves to them in some way that they matter, that their lives are significant, and that there is some kind of divine force governing our lives.
I’ve learned more than I have taught through the years, and much of what I have learned is the result of my work as a medical intuitive, and then as a person steeped in mystical consciousness, or as I now think of it, mystical intelligence. I believe we are emerging into a new era of understanding the nature of the Divine in which we will realize that the Divine exists as a living presence within the elements of love, light, and law. We are agents of co-creation in life, a truth I share at length in this series.
I deeply believe that many of the experiences people have today, and many of the ways we find ourselves suffering, such as depression and anxiety, are actually spiritual crises far more than they are psychological ones. We are compelled to search for meaning and purpose, but such a profound quest goes nowhere without prayer and grace. Again, in this program, I will share my thoughts with you on this, as well as guidance on navigating a dark night of the soul.
Obviously, this series is filled with a lifetime of my own experiences. I will be available for three live sessions to take questions from you, as this is the second best way to be in a classroom with you. I hope you will join me for our time together.
