When the stress is ramping up and overwhelm comes looming, feeling settled and safe can seem impossible. But coming home to a regulated state may be closer than you think.
The way back to calm is already built into your biology, teaches Polyvagal expert Deb Dana, and there are many direct ways to help your nervous system restore and stabilize itself.
Join Deb and Tami for a practice-focused hour to learn:
A short, foundational tour of Polyvagal Theory to show you how to read the signals of your own nervous system
Why we move into survival states like fight, flight, and shutdown—and how to find the way home to calm
Deb’s “glimmers” technique for savoring and amplifying micro-moments of safety
How to create autonomically guided intentions that your nervous system responds to as an invitation, not a demand
Why you cannot think your way to nervous system regulation, and Polyvagal strategies that work at the biological level
Immediate, practical tools you can use to come back into regulation in the moment
Why a regulated nervous system is contagious (in a good way!) and helps support everyone around you
