is a professor of medicine emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he founded the world-renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Clinic in 1979. MBSR and other mindfulness-based programs have now spread around the world to medical centers, hospitals, clinics, businesses, schools, and other institutions. Jon also founded the university’s Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society in 1995. He is the author of 14 books translated into over 50 languages.
