Do we all possess an instinct for compassion? If compassion is “hardwired” within each of us, how do we consciously access and activate it? In this interview with Dr. Dacher Keltner, we will explore the biological roots of human compassion and some of the proven ways we can transform our relationships and our world through the power of compassion and kindness.
Session highlights:
Dacher Keltner, PhD, is a professor of psychology at UC Berkeley and faculty director of the Greater Good Science Center. His research focuses on the functions of emotional experience and expression, in particular states such as compassion, awe, love, and embarrassment, as well as power, social class, and inequality. Dacher is the coauthor of two textbooks, as well as Born to Be Good: The Science of a Meaningful Life, The Compassionate Instinct: The Science of Human Goodness, and The Power Paradox: How We Gain and Lose Influence.
